Hi, I’m Morgan, a 22-year-old goalkeeper playing in the Southern League working towards going pro.

That sentence tells you a lot about me, because I’ve already defied the odds more than once.

When I was young, they said I’d probably never reach 22. Yet here I am, in the strongest physical condition of my life, still proving people wrong.

Growing up, I was also told there would be limits on what I could do, football included. But over the last three seasons, I’ve established myself as a first-choice goalkeeper, wearing the No.1 shirt at Falmouth Town and competing at Step 4.

“I’ve pushed Morgan more than any other keeper and he always gives it his all. A keeper is a tough position, yet he's taken on every aspect we’ve worked on. He’s grown technically, mentally, and emotionally. I can’t stress enough how much effort he puts in, week-in, week-out. Morgan’s on an incredible journey, he’s one determined young man.”

 My highlights reel

Morgan's highlights reel

During my time with Falmouth, I've helped the club win promotion to The Southern League, reach the FA Vase quarter-finals, and win the Ward Williams Cornwall Senior Cup. But I’m far from done.

My ambition is to become the first professional footballer with Cystic Fibrosis – something I’ve been working towards since I was 14. Professional rugby has already shown what is possible through Nathan Charles, and I’m determined to achieve the same in football.

I haven’t come through an academy system. There aren’t those same academy pathways in Cornwall, so I’ve had to build my route from grassroots level. Through discipline, hard work, and a genuine love of the game, I’ve progressed through the leagues and continue to earn my place.

Cystic Fibrosis means I’ve had to be disciplined every day with my training, fitness, recovery, and health. Thanks to advances in medication, alongside the work I’ve put into my conditioning, my lung function is now the strongest it has ever been — and I’m performing consistently at a high level.

“He had massive shoes to fill in replacing Ryan Barnes, one of the best goalkeepers this county has seen for a long time. For him to come into that environment and get 11 clean sheets in 19 games is outstanding.”

Falmouth Town Manager

What’s next

As the 2025/26 season comes to a close, and with changes at Falmouth, I feel now is the right time to take the next step.

With only one National League South club in Cornwall, I’m looking for an opportunity further afield. I have a base available in Farnborough, Hampshire, and I’m looking for pre-season training or trial opportunities with National League South and National League clubs — ideally within a full-time, hybrid, or ambitious part-time environment.

I'd love to hear from you if you can help with:

  • a trial or pre-season training opportunity

  • an opening for next season

  • sponsorship

  • or mentorship from a goalkeeper at a higher level.
