Just Another Neurotype
Monthly talk radio show and podcast about all things neurodivergence.
Across England, 550,000 await an ADHD assessment and 212,000 for autism. In Cornwall referrals are up 20% in two years, with wait times for an autism assessment at around five years and around ten for ADHD.
We live in a world designed largely by and for neurotypical people. Those whose brains work differently are too often failed by the systems meant to support them.
-
Too many neurodivergent people don’t understand themselves
-
Too many neurotypical people don’t understand neurodivergence, yet
-
Too few platforms exist for neurodivergent voices to be heard.
Just Another Neurotype aims to change that, to celebrate difference, and normalise neurodivergence. Whilst accepting the strengths and challenges along the way.
It’s a monthly, hour-long talk show with Vicky Coxhead and Alex Duff that brings honest conversation about what it’s really like to be neurodivergent or live with someone who is in today's society.
Episodes celebrate the beauty and brilliance of the neurodivergent mind, alongside the real, often misunderstood, challenges.
We explore Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Tourette's by having honest and open conversations with special guests each month.
Whether listeners are neurodivergent or neurotypical, Just Another Neurotype is a rare, inclusive, and much needed show about neurodivergence.
Broadcast the first Sunday of every month between 19:00-20:00 on CHAOS Radio, it’s also available to catch up on anytime on Mixcloud – all links to previous shows below.
