Surf Club
Surfing for Every Body, Every Mind, Every Ability
Welcome to Aloha Kākou Shaka Surf Club — a safe, supportive and joyful space where people of all abilities can experience the freedom of the ocean.
We’re not just about riding waves. We’re about belonging, building confidence, and celebrating who you are, with no pressure to be anything else.
🌊 What We Do?
We run inclusive surf sessions for:
-
Children, young people and adults with learning disabilities
-
Autistic individuals and neurodivergent surfers
-
People with physical disabilities or additional support needs
-
Families, carers and support workers
-
Anyone who needs a gentle, understanding and empowering approach to surfing
We believe surfing is for everyone — no matter your background, diagnosis or experience. If you can smile, you can surf with us.
🏖️ What Makes Us Different?
-
🧡 Led by Lived Experience – Our founder is a qualified surf coach and lifeguard who has personal experience of learning disability and neurodivergence.
-
🦺 Safety First – All coaches are fully qualified, insured, and hold enhanced DBS checks. We tailor sessions to individual needs. (if you require 1-1 support in the water you will need to bring a carer with you to accompany you.)
-
🤝 Person-Centred Coaching – We meet you where you’re at. Whether you're dipping a toe or standing tall on a board, it’s all progress.
-
🌈 No Judgment, No Pressure – Just ocean, smiles, shakas and stoke.
