The award comes at a time when statutory services for autism assessments and support are overstretched and many families are falling through the cracks.
St Austell based Community Interest Company, NeuroHappiness, is celebrating after receiving a £4,000 award from SPAR UK as part of the retailer’s Community Cashback Scheme.
At a time when statutory services for autism assessment and support are overstretched and many families are falling through the cracks, NeuroHappiness steps in to help fill the gap with compassion, lived experience, and practical tools that make a real difference for parents and family life..
The £4,000 grant was the largest awarded in the South West, and will fund a new group coaching programme in 2026 for parents who have a child either diagnosed as autistic or awaiting assessment.
At the heart of NeuroHappiness is a simple belief: your child is not broken – the system is.
Vicky Coxhead, Founder of NeuroHappiness said:
“We are a fledgling not-for-profit established to help bridge a real need within our community. Many larger businesses won’t support Community Interest Companies, so a huge thank you to SPAR UK for their generosity and foresight in extending their support to CICs. Receiving this funding is transformational. During 2026 it will allow us to reach families who would otherwise have no access to support – enabling happier, more harmonious homes.”
Parents in the St Austell Bay area who would like to take part in the six-week neuro affirmative coaching programme launching in Summer 2026, but who are unable to self-fund, can express their interest for a free place by emailing: neurohappiness@mail.com.
